My mother has been at this facility for about 6 months after a fall and with dementia. The staff is generally caring and attentive, although as in any place there are some who are genuinely caring and trying to help and others who are not so giving. Being a nice patient like my mom will definitely help your cause. We haven't seen any signs of negligence or abuse or excessive dirtiness, although there are some nursing home smells from time to time. The food is not particularly bad or good. About 1/4th of the facility is rehab, the rest is long term care. The rehab is excellent but my mom was really too far gone for it to work in her case. Overall we are happy as this is a small, dog-friendly home that doesn't feel corporate. We are glad we chose a place nearby so we can go over there every day to make sure things are on track and to provide social connection for my mom. Glass of wine every day at 5 with her! Rooms are dated and shared with just a curtain separating the halves, so a key thing is finding a compatible roommate (is the TV on all the time?) We are lucky and my mom was paired with an ideal roommate for her. There are 4 private rooms for hospice patients, which is a really nice idea. It would be helpful if they also invested a bit of effort fixing up the other rooms to offer more privacy to the residents.

I have been to many retirement homes and rehab centers. This place is very exceptional when it comes to the care. The nurses are super caring, loving, and attentive. They're always sitting with the patients and making sure they take their time to have a conversation with them. Places like these tend to forget that people need something as simple as a talking to. And this place brings that kind of attitude. From what I can see when dropping off a patient; they talk to their patients without any hesitation and with nothing but smiles. If I was older and had to come here, I would be happy to do so.
